Am I ready for such a huuuuge transformation?

That's where it gets complicated—when you think it's huge.

The result is meant to be huge at the end, but the start shouldn't be huge by any means.

One of the most common fears when diving into an AI transformation is, "What happens if it fails?" Especially after you've convinced several stakeholders at the company to follow you down this path.

Nobody wants to onboard 1,000 employees to an initiative that could shut down the next day. The fear of failure is real, and it's a barrier to implementing a large-scale decentralized automation culture.

But here's the thing: you don't have to start big.

Since we're all about catching up quickly with AI, you need to make your steps agile. Start with a small group, maybe 10 people. Get the tooling right, set clear goals, assign an owner, and experiment with that small group. If it fails, you can correct it quickly without the whole organization knowing about it. This way, you minimize risk, and you give yourself room to learn and adapt.

Remember, the goal is to make this transformation successful, not overwhelming. Taking small, calculated steps is the best way to ensure you can handle any bumps in the road.

When it works—and it will—you can scale up, bringing more people into the fold, building confidence along the way.

And if you're thinking about starting with 1,000 employees—don't. Start today, but start with 10.
