Workato is an Enterprise tool for integrating and automating processes,it is cloud hosted and has the capability for partial hosting on-prem.Workato has been around for a while, hence its popularity among top companies across the world.

In addition to offering business automation, Workato provides online training for current and intending users or anyone who wishes to learn about automation.Workato Automation Institute offers two Professional Development Certifications and several courses.These courses provide a learning path that prepares the Developer for the certification exam. The Professional Development Certifications are designed to validate knowledge of Developers integrating Workato in their automation processes. A Workato Professional Integration Developer is one who has a comprehensive understanding of how Workato works and can create, manage, and troubleshoot Workato integrations. Gen AI and Business Opps Course

The use of AI for business purposes is on the increase, as such Workato designed the Gen AI and Business Ops course to teach their users on how to use AI tools to streamline business processes thereby reducing work complexity.. This course is open to any Workato userwho wants to learn how to implement AI tools in their business and requires very little technical knowledge to get started.The course content include:

  • Understand the different business operation use-cases for Gen AI
  • Understand how to thrive in times of change with the Automation Mindset
  • Leverage Gen AI to influence decision-making

A certificate of completion (not certification) is assigned to the learner after he completes the modules for the course.

Enterprise Automation Course

The Enterprise Automation Course is designed to give learners a foundational knowledge of enterprise automation. The goal of the course is for you to be able to design your enterprise automation according to your business needs. The curriculum for this course includes:

Automation Pro Courses

The Automation Pro course is a series of courses designed for people with zero knowledge of automation. It comes in 3 different parts based on the learner’s knowledge,it is self-paced and offers certification upon completion of the 3 parts and successfully passing the exam. Automation Pro I This is the first in the series,beginners should start from here in automation,it contains modules like Introduction to Woprkato,Recipe Information, Recipe Components and so on. After completing the entire course in this part, you will be required to take the certification exam which makes you eligible for part II. Automation Pro II The second in the series is Automation Pro II where more technical topics are taught. To gain access to this course, you must complete the Automation Pro i. Just like part I, when the modules in the course are completed, you’ll be eligible to take the certification exam which is open-source in this case. Automation Pro III This is the last in the Automation Pro Courses This is the third and final level of Workato platform Automation training. Just like the preceding courses, there’s also a certification exam upon completion of the course content.

Professional Development Certification

Integration Developer Certification

The Integration Developer Certification is a certificate awarded to Developers who have shown efficiency in using Workato to design and integrate business automated processes. The test can take several hours from start to finish, a minimum of 3 hrs is required for completion and submission.

Areas to be tested on To get certified, you are required to take some tests on areas such as:

  • Understanding of integration fundamentals
  • Knowledge of data formats and protocols used in integration e.g JSON,HTTP, etc.
  • Ability to design reusable and scalable automation solutions
  • Ability to integrate Workato with different databases such as mySQL
  • Utilizing available data security features to develop integrations

How to take any of Workato’s Certification exam Payment: Make your payment for the certification test on Workato’s website or contact the support team for further guidance Course requirement: Complete the Integration Developer Learn Course (prep courses) on Workato Automation Institute’s website Part 1 (Assessment): Complete and pass a 60-question multiple choice assessment. Part 2 (Practicum): Read through Case Study Scenarios and develop equivalent solutions Submission: Send your solution assets accompanied by a 5 minute video explaining your solution to the team of graders. This can take hours or days depending on the queue for submission.

How much is the certification? Every Certification on Workato’s Automation Institute costs $300 for two trials of both the assessment and practicum.Since the certification is done in cohorts,failure on the first trial will warrant you being queued for the next cohort for a second chance.
